The coordinated and articulated work between the Ministry of Environment and Water and the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock with other institutions such as decentralized autonomous governments is necessary in order to stop deforestation and climate change. PROAmazonía strengthens territorial planning; by way of Territorial Planning Plans (PDOT) and life plans with a focus on conservation, sustainable production, climate change, gender and interculturality.

We work on the following activities:

    Review of planning tools: updating provincial, cantonal, parochial and life plans of Indigenous Towns and Nationalities with criteria of climate change and sustainable production.

    Establishment of regional and cross-sectoral platforms for the promotion and monitoring of inter-agency coordination mechanisms and agreements.

    Strengthening technical capacities in Decentralized Autonomous Governments (GADs) and indigenous nationalities.
